EssayCoach is built for young writers. Every design decision prioritises the safety, privacy, and wellbeing of children aged 8–18.

Safe Community

All publicly shared essays go through content moderation. Inappropriate content is removed and users are banned.

Privacy by Default

New essays are private by default. Students choose when and if to publish to the Arena.

No Personal Info Shared

Nicknames (not real names) are displayed publicly. Email addresses are never visible to other users.

Parental Controls

Parents can create linked accounts, view their child's essays, and request data deletion at any time.

Report & Block

Users can report any essay or comment. Our moderation team reviews reports within 24 hours.

Direct Contact

Parents and teachers can contact our safety team directly for any concern about their child's experience.

How to Report a Concern

  2. 2. Email our safety team directly at safety@essaycoach.co.
  3. 3. For urgent concerns, contact the eSafety Commissioner at esafety.gov.au.

Our Commitments

• We comply with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

• We do not display advertising to any users.

• We do not sell or share children's data with third parties.

• We do not use children's essays to train AI models without parental consent.

• We conduct regular safety reviews of the platform and community content.
